Our product, MobileCAD is protected by patent number : 7,231,330
MobileCAD(r) is a system designed to emulate mobility, speed, network delays, and the interactions of mobility protocols (e.g. Mobile IP). The emulation platform is capable of providing packet delay, bandwidth emulation, and can be interconnected with WiFi, WiMAX, LTE, and any other 3G/4G "All IP" network topology. Additionally, carrier and manufacturers are capable of loading map scenenarios with precise latitude/longitude values are specified. The patented technology could be implemented using open source software (e.g. Linux), as well as any other combination of software/hardware.
MobileCAD is assisted design engineering for wireless, allowing carriers, operatos and mobile developers the creation of wireless scenarios in a repeatable fashion. You may load a map in California, and recreate it in Tokio or New York City without flying to that particular location.
A mobile node (e.g. iphone or android device) could be put to test in mobility scnearios and conditions that mimic real trajectories and scenarios where 2G/3G is handover, and WiFi hotspots can be found as part of any scenario.
These experiements can be recorded, logged, and replied at will, allowing scenario recreation and bringing high-level of testing at all development times.
MobileCAD(r) can be licensed, based on the patent, as well as on our MobileCAD(r) specification, providing our customers with several types of licenses:
We have a GSM/WiFi device that can replicate several variables, fully scalable to manage several stations, and mobility events. A device can conduct a data call as well as a voice call. This device is scheduled to reach beta, Q2'2010.
Our modular design allows us to adapt to multiple technologies including LTE and WIMAX, VoIP Calls can be made thru our platform, providing developers, carriers, and manufacturers with a unique experience difficult to replicate with today's deployments. Rapid Mobile Technologies is looking for partners to develop a 4G version of MobileCAD.
Ghost Mobile IP is a protocol and software implementation that enhances Proxy Mobile IP to speed up handover by creating Ghost entities of the Mobile Node that allocate resources prior to accessing a particular cell, as well as Ghost Foreigh Agents that broadcast discovery packets in such a form that mobile nodes can know in advance a Foreign Agent location. This protocol and invention is protected by Patent: US20050058099 in an exclusive license from the University of Florida.
