Patent-auction broker ICAP Ocean Tomo is now the “exclusive sales agent” of the patent portfolio of ”MobileIPP”, that includes US Patent 7,697,508 and a provisional application. MobileIPP is a patent that enhances seamless mobility with a protocol and system that can provide a competitive advantage in wireless communication networks and today’s high expectations in 3G/4G multi-radio networks

Boca Raton, FL-based Rapid Mobile Technologies is a technology startup also commercializing MobileCAD and founded by Edwin A. Hernandez, PhD and Michael Grider, Esq.

In a meeting between ICAP Ocean Tomo’s CEO Dean Becker, and Rapid Mobile team, this relationship was formalized without providing any details on the terms.

Rapid Mobile Technologies is hosting “Mobile Monday” first 2011 meeting at our offices in Boca Raton, FL.

Our presenter is Karin Kennedy, Patent Attorney at Christopher & Weisberg, P.A. She will cover topics including How Best to Protect Your Intellectual Property, When NOT to File for IP protection, Pursuing IP infringers, Describing Your IP to Investors and related topics.

Ms. Kennedy is an Intellectual Property Attorney licensed to practice law in Florida. She devotes her practice to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical and software arts, trademark applications and copyright cases. A former engineer with Daimler Chrysler, IBM, Synopsys and Tektronix, she has extensive experience developing code and working with most software programming languages, hardware description languages and operating systems, as well as experience in chip and circuit design. Karin also has experience working as a system administrator maintaining Unix and Windows networks. Karin holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, as well as a B.S. in Physics from Portland State University, where she belonged to the Tau Beta Pi engineering Honor Society. Karin holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida. Karin was an active member of the Journal of Technology and Policy at the University of Florida. Karin is fluent in Spanish and conversant in German and Japanese.

Rapid Mobile Technologies, Inc and Tripp Scott, and attorneys Alex Brown and Peter Hermann agreed to enter a relationship to represent Rapid Mobile Technologies, in our patent enforcement efforts. Alex Brown an d Peter Hermann successfully recovered over 25M in a Home Depot patent litigation recently gone to trial. Tripp Scott will also provide advice in other matters.

Rapid Mobile Technologies, Inc has been invited to present at Honduras “First Tuesday” event in Tegucigalpa, as a keynote speaker looking for development of new partnerships and opportunities in the “Wireless Emulation” sector. Several organizations, including CONATEL (Regulatory body in Honduras) will be available. Likewise, at the end of the month, our CEO will be in “San Salvador” at the same event where it’s expected to seek licensing opportunities.
